Nebraska football has a realistic shot of landing five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola and we address that and other recruiting topics.
If you have been following along, it’s been a busy week for the Nebraska football program on the recruiting trail as the Huskers have picked up four verbal commitments this week.
It started with Ismael Smith Flores and Jeremiah Charles out of Arlington Martin in Texas. Those players both followed Nebraska football tight end coach Bob Wager and the Huskers landed two players with big-time potential.
Both have played football for just one season but have immense upside. Smith Florres is already ranked as a top-600 prospect even though the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder is just scratching the surface of what he can be.
The same can be said about Charles who averaged over 20 yards per reception last season. He’s got an insane vertical and earned a Nebraska football offer after four dunks in a high school hoops game.
We (myself and podcast partner Danny Jaillet of the greatcornholio.org) break down all the recent additions for Nebraska football recruiting and look at what their impact could be next season.
Latest on Dylan Raiola
However, we also cover the hottest topic in Nebraska football recruiting, which is Dylan Raiola. His father Dominic did an interview with Husker Online and said, “Nebraska isn’t just another program.”
Dylan has grown up watching the Huskers and his dad is one of the greatest Nebraska players of all time. Beyond that, it’s clear that Matt Rhule the current coaching staff has impressed the Raiolas. The devil is in the details and Rhule is all about it, even changing the nutrition of the team because it wasn’t up to snuff.
Raiola is now expected to make a decision in March via Sean Callahan and we break down what it all means for Nebraska football going forward. Here’s the podcast.
