Nebraska football is currently hosting former five-star wide receiver Julian Fleming plus Princely projected to Ole Miss.

Dylan Raiola is all the rage right now for Nebraska football fans, but the Huskers are trying to make some other moves in the transfer portal that don’t involve quarterback.

One of those players could certainly help the quarterbacks though and that’s former Ohio State wideout Julian Fleming, who was the No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the 2020 class

Fleming got lost a little on the depth chart at Ohio State. He did have one season of over 500 yards but has just under 1,000 yards receiving for his career. But since he played alongside Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Marvin Harrison Jr., and other future pros, it’s understandable.

The former Ohio State starting quarterback, Kyle McCord, visited earlier this week and is trending with projections to the Huskers. Fleming, his former teammate, is currently on campus according to an Instagram post from the wideout on Tuesday night.

Fleming wants a chance to be a No. 1 and he would get that at Nebraska. He could also get the chance to play with McCord and Dylan Raiola, so the Huskers have to be looking like an attractive option.

As with McCord and Raiola, the Huskers have to close with Fleming. But right now, things seem to be heading in that direction.

Princely Umanmielen projected to Ole Miss

On the defensive side of the ball, Princely Umanmielen is one transfer portal target that Nebraska football has been in contact with.

Princely is the older brother of Nebraska player Princewill Umanmielen. Princely is one of the top edge rushers in the SEC and finished with 98 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, and 14.5 sacks in four seasons with the Florida Gators. 21 of those tackles for loss and 11.5 of those sacks have come during the past two seasons.

You can never have enough pass rushers, so Nebraska has been interested, but David Johnson an Ole Miss insider for 247 Sports has the No. 7 transfer prospect projected to the Rebels.

Princely just visited Ole Miss so it makes sense from that perspective. We’ll see if the Huskers can turn things around, but that reunion of the Umanmielen brothers might not be in the cards.
