2024 commitment for Nebraska football teased

Nebraska football is trending hard as the favorite for Dylan Raiola, and one staff member has teased a 2024 pledge.

The Nebraska football coaching staff has been active on social media since Matt Rhule was hired. Rhule has slowed down with his emojis, but one thing Husker fans have become accustomed to are the tweets of Director of Player Personnel Omar Hales and others teasing good recruiting news.

Hales will often tweet out fireworks when there is a commitment and wouldn’t you know it, Hales tweeted the fireworks on Wednesday morning, which could be quite significant with everything going on with five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola.

At any rate, Hales drops a couple of hints about who he’s talking about. For starters, he uses the #24Ours hashtag, which means the commitment is from the 2024 class.

There are some rumblings that Nebraska is making a move with 2024 three-star offensive lineman, Alexander Ruggeroli. Ruggeroli may be the “big dawg” Hales mentioned in his tweet. He’s also from Las Vegas which could be a clue with the dice reference since he’s from the Vegas area.

However, it could be a nod to Dylan Raiola too. Not only would he be a major pickup as a five-star quarterback, which could justify the “big dawg” comment, but he’s also currently committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. I don’t have an explanation for the dice though which makes me think it’s the 6-foot-6 offensive lineman from Vegas.

Nebraska football fans are also waiting for Kyle McCord to decide after his visit to Lincoln earlier this week. The Huskers are also hosting former five-star wideout Julian Fleming from the transfer portal.

But if one of those players committed, why the $24Ours hashtag? Maybe this doesn’t mean anything, but generally, when Hales puts out a Tweet like that, good things have followed.

Hopefully, that proves to be true once again.
