Nebraska Football: Huskers have realistic shot at 4-star CB

Nebraska Football made the top four for safety Kenny Woseley II on Friday night. He made the announcement via Twitter.

Woseley is a four-star corner in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He has an 88 overall numerical ranking in the 247Sports rankings. He is the eighth overall player in the 2024 class from the state of Pennsylvania. Rutgers, Penn State, and Michigan were the other three teams in his top four.

Currently, he has a Crystal Ball prediction to Penn State. That was put in on February 23 from 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn.

What can he bring to Nebraska Football?

Woseley measures in at five-foot-11, 170 pounds. He has the ability to play on the outside, and does well in one-on-one coverage. The corner does a good job tracking the football, and is able to quickly turn and grab interceptions. He can do more than just cover plays however. He also does a good job of pursuing a receiver after the catch, and can come down and make a tackle.

Nebraska football has several corners that can attack and tackle well in the class. Dwight Bootle II, Syncere Safeeullah, and DeAndre Barnes are a solid trio of corners in the class.

Currently, the 2024 Nebraska football recruiting class only has one commitment in it. The commitment comes courtesy of Roger Gradney who committed on Monday. The class itself ranks 43rd overall nationally at the moment, but that may change soon.

It will be interesting to see if Nebraska football can close the deal with Woseley. Penn State is the favorite in his recruitment, and it makes sense, given that he is from Pennsylvania. Nevertheless, the Huskers are always in a recruitment with Matt Rhule at the helm. That tireless recruiting work ethic is something that has been established early on, and it is possible Nebraska will be able to close the deal.
