The Nebraska basketball roster is nearly set for the 2025-26 season, but the Huskers and head coach Fred Hoiberg have another move up their sleeve.
Leo Curtis, a former Arizona State commitment and a 7-foot-1 center ranked in the 100 overall in the 2025 class, according to On3.com, will take an official visit to Nebraska basketball, according to Robin Washut of Husker Online.
Curtis played for the Icelandic national team averaging 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game with the Icelandic national team in the U20 Euro Championships. He’s 19 years old and committed to Arizona State over Indiana and West Virginia.
Nebraska basketball was supposed to be at the 15-man limit after a recent transfer portal addition, but the roster limits could still be in flux, which could allow Fred Hoiberg and the Huskers to sign Curtis from the 2025 class.
I wouldn’t expect Curtis to contribute much next season, but with Rienk Mast and Ugnius Jarusevicius each having one year of eligibility left, the Huskers will need a talented big like Curtis moving forward.
Texas, Washington, West Virginia, and Indiana are some of the other teams the Huskers will need to worry about in this recruitment.
