Both Nebraska basketball teams will take part in the NCAA tournament on Friday. The men’s basketball team will take on Texas A&M at 5:50 CST on TNT.

The Nebraska basketball women’s team will also face Texas A&M in the first round of the women’s NCAA tournament. It’s the first NCAA tournament berth for the Nebraska women’s basketball team since 2022.

For the Nebraska men’s basketball team, it’s the first appearance under Fred Hoiberg and the first for the Huskers since 2014, when they lost to Baylor as a No. 11 seed.

Nebraska basketball has never won an NCAA tournament game on the men’s side. The women have made it to the second weekend. It will be a tall order for either team to do that this season, but looking ahead to Friday night, here’s how to watch, the odds, and a prediction for both Nebraska baskeball teams vs. Texas A&M.

Nebraska basketball (men) vs. Texas A&M

Odds: Nebraska -1

TV: TNT

Tip-off time: 5:50 Central

Stream: March Madness Live/Fubo TV.

Radio: Huskers.com

Prediction: We broke down this matchup more in-depth, but it feels like Nebraska’s time. It woud be nice to beat Trev Alberts new school in the process, but it’s been a long journey under Fred Hoiberg to reach this destination. It didn’t feel like it would ever happen during the nine-win seasons, but the Huskers are back in the big dance and they’ll keep their dancing shoes on for at least one more day.

Nebraska 79, Texas A&M 72.

Nebraska basketball (women) vs. Texas A&M

Odds: Nebraska -3.5

TV: ESPNU

Tip-off time: 9:30 CST

Stream: ESPN+

Radio: Huskers.com

Prediction: Texas A&M went 6-10 in the SEC. They are mediocre but they are stout on the defensive end. Nebraska is a solid defensive team too. They also have Jaz Shelley and Alexis Markowski. They are one of the best guard-post combos in the NCAA tournament and they should lead the Huskers to a win.

Nebraska 66, Texas A&M 59.
