Nebraska football is hosting another four-star recruit in addition to Dylan Raiola, plus a new expert projection in 2024.

Quite possibly the biggest recruiting weekend in Nebraska football history just got a little bigger as the Huskers are hosting two more 2024 recruits on top of five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola.

Of course, the focus is on Raiola, who is the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2024 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, as well as the No. 2 quarterback.

Raiola has also been committed to Georgia since this summer but is on an official visit to Nebraska football this weekend. It’s already been confirmed that he’s in Nebraska.

Yet, more 2024 visitors have popped up for Nebraska football. One of them is four-star linebacker Dylan Williams, who is ranked No. 184 overall at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds. He’s out of Long Beach, California, and is currently committed to the Oregon Ducks.

However, Williams has been open to other options. He took an official visit to Arizona earlier in December. This weekend, he’s taking an official visit to Nebraska football.

Another 2024 visitor

Another linebacker in the 2024 class, Vincent Shavers, from Miami, Florida, is also taking an official visit. Shavers is a Miami commitment and is ranked No. 550 overall.

However, Sean Callahan of Husker Online has projected Shavers to the Huskers. On3.com doesn’t even list the linebacker as a Miami Hurricanes pledge at this point.

It’s curious because Nebraska football doesn’t seem to have much scholarship room. Both players are taking official visits so they can’t be put on an NIL deal — they would have to be put on full scholarship. Shavers had 10 sacks during the 2022 season.

Both players are intriguing and I’d love each in the class. Hopefully, the numbers work out, but more than anything, Nebraska needs to close with Dylan Raiola.
