Welcome to Husker Big Red Daily, your daily stop for the latest Nebraska football news, recruiting buzz, transfer portal updates, and Huskers headlines. Here’s a quick look at the latest storylines surrounding Nebraska athletics.

Earlier this month, Nebraska football hosted five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson for a surprise official visit. Since then, there has been plenty of buzz about the Huskers trying to pull off a flip.

Although nothing has officially changed with Hudson, some things have happened this week. He took down the posts on social media referencing his commitment to the Tigers. He also updated his profile picture to one taken on his official visit to Nebraska.

Nebraska football recruiting insider Bryan Munson of Husker Online reported that there is a real “optimism” behind the scenes that the Huskers might be able to flip the 6-foot-6, 240-pound tight end ranked 18th overall in the 2027 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

The idea of Hudson and Trae Taylor playing together is an exciting one. Hudson is the kind of player Nebraska literally has never had before. He can play tight end or wide receiver, and will be a matchup nightmare for defenses.

Keep your fingers crossed Nebraska fans, but this doesn’t feel like a pie-in-the-sky idea. Ahmad Hudson could flip to the Huskers. It feels like a very real possibility.

Final weekend of official visits

We broke down this final weekend of official visitors on Thursday, but the gist is that just two uncommitted recruits are scheduled to be on campus. Four-star wideout Khalil Taylor is one of them.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound receiver has incredible speed. He ran the 100-meter dash in 11.05 as a ninth-grader. Over the past two seasons, the kid has had 38 touchdown receptions. Taylor has 84 receptions total in that time, so that means 45 percent of his receptions ended in touchdowns.

Not sure I’ve seen a stat like that before. Penn State is the leader right now, but Taylor canceled a visit to Alabama to make an official visit to Lincoln. Greg Smith of Rivals also said Nebraska had some momentum going into the visit.

6-foot-6, 235-pound tight end Seager Milholen is also coming for an official visit. He’s ranked No. 883 overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings. He would be more of a traditional tight end. The Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) recruit will be back for an official visit after an unofficial visit to Lincoln earlier this month.

Trae Taylor highlight

If you didn’t see it, a Trae Taylor touchdown pass is working its way around the internet. Trae alludes to the pass rush and throws a bomb into the end zone for a touchdown.
