Nebraska basketball faces its toughest opponent of the season so far in Duquesne on Wednesday and here’s the odds, a prediction, and how to watch.

After the Nebraska basketball team passed its first real test of the 2023-24 season the Huskers have another on Wednesday as Duquesne invades the Vault for a huge non-conference matchup.

Both teams are ranked in the top 100 according to the Kenpom rankings and Nebraska basketball is seeking a 6-0 start. This win might not end up as a quadrant-1 victory, but it would be nice to add to the resume and every win is important for a program that hasn’t even played in the NIT in years.

This team has real NCAA potential. But you have to win games like this. Here’s the key info for Nebraska basketball such as how to watch, the odds, and a prediction.

Nebraska basketball vs. Duquesne odds

The Huskers are a 7-point favorite against the Dukes. The over/under is 150. Nebraska’s money line is -305 and +245 for the Dukes.

Nebraska vs. Duquesne prediction

The Dukes will really test Nebraska’s perimeter defense. Dae Dae Grant and Jimmy Clark average over 38 points a game in the backcourt and both are stellar shooters from 3-point range. Duquesne averages more than 10 3-point field goals per game.

Nebraska has been stellar defensively ranking ninth in all of college basketball with just 56.4 points allowed per game. The 3-point defense has also been elite ranking 16th overall as opposing teams are shooting just 23 percent from beyond the art.

However, Nebraska is also limiting teams to just 39.1 percent on its 2-point shots. The Huskers have also been dominant down low. Rienk Mast has been hard to stop in the post. Brice Williams, Juwan Gary, and Josiah Allick have controlled the paint.

Keisei Tominaga is averaging 11 points per game, but he’s going to have a breakout game soon, maybe even tonight. At any rate, I see Nebraska getting to 6-0 and covering the spread.

Prediction: Nebraska 77, Duquesne 66
