Could offensive line help for Nebraska football be on the way? Two new FutureCasts were put in by Rivals experts Greg Smith and Zack Carpenter for 2024 three-star offensive tackle Xander Ruggeroli.

Ruggeroli took an unofficial visit to Nebraska on October 28. He has also taken visits to USC and Washington State in addition to his time in Lincoln. It is worth noting he took an official visit to Lincoln on December 8.

His primary recruiter for Nebraska football is Donovan Raiola.

What could he bring to Nebraska football?

The Bishop Gorman lineman measures in at six-foot-eight, 265 pounds. He is a multi-faceted lineman in the sense that he can block well in multiple ways. He is able to drive his men back and create running lanes when run-blocking. In pass protection, he stays square with his man, and does not move his feet.

The theme of the 2024 Nebraska football linemen class is that they can block physically. Ruggeroli can certainly do that as well. He is not afraid to take on contact, and makes sure to finish his blocks. In addition to finishing, he is aggressive when blocking. He would be a good addition to a Nebraska football offensive line class that is already strong.

Currently, the 2024 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks 25th overall nationally per the 247Sports team rankings. That ranking is expected to increase, as rumors are swirling about Dylan Raiola committing to the 2024 class as well. This class itself has the chance to be one of the best recruiting classes in recent memory.

It remains to be seen how Nebraska will fare in this recruitment. Nevertheless, they have been in contact with Ruggeroli over the past couple months. They have certainly been keeping tabs on his recruitment and want to make him a part of the 2024 class. It seems that they are getting closer to sealing the deal.
