Nebraska Football: Bishop Gorman OL trio visiting next weekend

All three lineman are four-star recruits.

Nebraska football is set to have many visitors after spring game next weekend. However, one positional group is certainly of note. Offensive lineman will be present on campus, with three big names visiting from Bishop Gorman High School.

Donovan Raiola has done a solid job of recruiting the offensive line position over the past couple years. He already has an offensive lineman from Bishop Gorman on the roster, in walk-on Alexander Ruggeroli. Now, Nebraska football is going back to the proverbial well again.

I take a look at the three visitors from Gorman coming next weekend, and assess what they bring to the table.

4-star IOL SJ Alofaituli

Alofaituli is the third overall interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class, and the third overall player in this class from the state of Nevada, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is a four-star recruit with a numerical rating of 96.

Right now, he is being Crystal Balled to Miami by two experts. Alabama, Oregon, and Texas A&M are also in the mix.

The Bishop Gorman product measures in at six-foot-three, 290 pounds

Alofaituli is very solid especially when it comes to run-blocking. He is able to extend his hands quickly and create running lanes for the back. He also has very quick feet, and is able to move from side to side with ease. That agility allows him to finish blocks quickly and take on another assignment if need be. His run-blocking is something that really stands out about his game.

This is where he could be a good fit for Nebraska football. They may run a more passing-friendly offense with Dylan Raiola. Nevertheless, running the football is going to be very much a part of their identity still. We have seen Nebraska take more aggressive lineman in the class. Alofaituli fits the bill here.

4-star IOL Douglas Utu

Utu is another player who plays at Bishop Gorman high school. He too is a highly-talented lineman. He is the second overall interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class, and the second overall player in the state of Nevada per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

His offer sheet is building, as he has 24 in total. Tennessee, Alabama, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, and USC are some of the bigger schools to offer him. This will not be an easy recruitment at all for Nebraska football.

He has already been invited to the 2025 Polynesian Bowl, a prestigious event in its own right. For reference, both Dylan Raiola and Carter Nelson were part of the event last year.

Utu measures in at six-foot-five 300 pounds. He is very fluid in his movements, and that allows him to complete blocks quickly. Utu does a good job of getting leverage on his man, and finishing blocks.

Donovan Raiola has wanted a physical style in his lineman over these past couple of classes and has recruited as such. Utu fits that same type of mold, and he would give Nebraska football another impactful lineman. This recruitment will be one to watch.

4-star IOL Alai Kalaniuvalu

Kalaniuvalu is part of that same talented Bishop Gorman offensive line. He is ranked the ninth overall interior offensive lineman in his class, and the fourth overall player in his class from the state of Nevada per the 247Sports composite rankings.

California, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, and USC are just some of the schools that have offered him. He has 30 offers in total on an offer sheet that is sure to keep growing. Kalaniuvalu measures in at six-foot-four, 300 pounds.

Kalaniuvalu ‘s quick reaction time and instincts are what makes him an elite lineman. He is very subtle with his movements, and doesn’t focus on overpowering with strength. He is more of a technique lineman, which is equally as effective. Kalaniuvalu is able to make space and clear holes rather quickly.

He may not be as physical as the other two lineman on the list, but he is technically and fundamentally sound. That certainly goes a long way in this instance
